Recap: “Die Unternehmervertrauten” Event Series 2024

In 2024, Livingstone was once again a partner of the “Die Unternehmervertrauten” event series—a premier forum for corporate finance experts—with Ralph Hagelgans and Dr. Roland Schulz representing the firm. The series provided an excellent opportunity to discuss current developments and challenges in the M&A industry with leading experts and participants.

Livingstone participated in the meetings held in Stuttgart, Münster, Hamburg, and, most recently, Düsseldorf, which hosted the final event of the year before the winter break. These different locations highlight the regional diversity and broad network that “Die Unternehmervertrauten” brings together each year.

Our contributions included presentations on the following topics:

• “Where is the M&A Market Headed? The New Normal of Geopolitical Uncertainty, Rising Costs, and Higher Interest Rates”
• “The M&A Market in 2024: Current Trends and Observations”
• “The Attractiveness of Germany as a Business Location: An M&A Perspective”

Through these keynote speeches, we aimed to provide insights into key trends and developments in the M&A market. We hope our contributions were both inspiring and valuable to the participants, offering them useful takeaways to address their own challenges.

We would like to thank the FINANCE Think Tank – Corporate Banking & Finance for the excellent organization, and all participants for the stimulating discussions. This exchange once again highlighted the importance of events like “Die Unternehmervertrauten” for the M&A community, providing a valuable platform for learning from each other and collaboratively developing solutions for the future.
